bellapalmeraThis is the third Saturday I've spent w/these people, and I still can't get over how much fun I have with people who are so much younger than me. (Although, this time Kasey was there and she is 3 weeks older than me. HA! =P)
Yesterday here in Pinellas County, FL, there was lots and lots of wind. I tried to inform Matthew of this but he wasn't very awake yet. Thus, we went to THE BEACH. It was pretty much hilarious. According to Bay News 9, the wind was 26 mph with gusts to 38. The temperature was in the low 60s. Therefore, we are insane. Just in case you do not understand the power of such winds:
Matthew was trying to fly a kite, and it worked a little bit but part of it kept breaking. It should be noted that this is the same kite Rebecca attempted to fly in this post. (LOL, so I've seen both of Julie's siblings try to fly Julie's kite, but I haven't seen Julie try to fly her own kite. Niiiice.) I wanted to take pictures but I had no batteries. So I went with Daymelis and Kasey to try to find batteries and food. The concession stand ended up being closed, but there was a CVS nearby. However I apparently did not know where it was, so we went on a walking adventure! Yes, I wanted batteries THAT badly. I ended up only taking 2 pics all day. By the time we got back to the beach, the kite had been put away and we played volleyball. MY TEAM WON because the wind caused the other team to fail.
After the beach, we all went to Kasey's house where her mom proceeded to give us tons of food. Thanks, Kasey's mom! Skyler (spell check) decided he wanted Kasey's mom to adopt him. He also became bff's with Kasey's dog:
How adorable is this picture!!!! On a scale of 1-10, it's at least a 12. So we played Apples 2 Apples for about 3 hours haha. Apparently Ryan did not know who Gandhi was, but now he does. Good times. I won with a whopping 20 green cards. I don't think I've ever won before, so this was exciting to me.
Also, I fired everyone. Trufax!
Haha, yesterday was soooo much fun. I seriously hope we all do this every weekend. I don't care that half the people are like 17. I am elderly :D
