cuz I'm extrEEEEEEEEeme!!!!!11!!!!!1!
Nov. 24th, 2006 04:23 pmHi, I sux0rz for not wishing my eljay friends a Happy Thanksgiving!!!! My bad, yo. I hope you all pigged out on Turkey or whatever it is you eat instead. And had a wonderful day too!
I had an... interesting... Thanksgiving. I ultimately ended up w/several options but naturally I chose to spend the day w/the crazy boys. And honestly, that was the one I was invited to first. So meh. Anyway it was fun. The menu was:
~Turkey
~Steak
~Ham casserole
~Stuffing
~Steamed broccoli
~A very colorful salad
~Mashed taters
~Pumpkin pie
~Cheesecake
~Bread
I think I got everything. Anyway it was all quite good. I absolutely LOVED the stuffing and the cheesecake. (Actually, I took a piece of each dessert home because I was too full to eat it at the time, so I just ate the cheesecake now. DAMN that was a good cheesecake! Geo baked it himself.) So anyway here are some pictures and a video...

The ghetto rigged turkey rack thing. I don't remember why they needed to do this. Is it supposed to be like a rotisserie or something? Well anyway they used a paper towel holder. And I missed the photo op on this, but apparently when Geo was making his cheesecake he didn't have an electric mixer so he rigged a whisk up to a drill and used that. Way to use your resources wisely!

The table, all set for dinner. You have your normal beverage glass, your alcohol glass, and your shot glass. I told you I had an "interesting" day! Haha actually there wasn't much drinking at all. Nobody used the shot glasses.

The final product.

My honorary dysfunctional family for the day: Fred, Geo, Jessie, and Matt. I'm not sure why Matt looks like he wants to go on a homicidal rampage. Oh well.
And this is what I missed out on at home:

It was hard being away from my family for Thanksgiving... I think this is the first time I wasn't with some sort of blood relative for the day. (One year I was with my uncle Bob and aunt Linda and cousin Ed.) Oh, and Brian and his mom said I should have come there. Gee, ya know, if it wasn't EIGHT HOURS AWAY... =P But all in all I had a good day.
