Note to self...

When making Mac N Cheese, never forget the water.

I mean, NEVER EVER forget the WATER!!!!!!!!!!

R.I.P. Bowl, you were awesome!

Yup, so that is what happens when you forget the water. I hope I don't get sick from smoke inhalation!

Haha it doesn't even LOOK like Kraft Dinner.

I do this sort of thing constantly so don't feel too bad. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a failure at cooking. I once screwed up toast. I can't even make scrambled eggs!

P.S. I hate microwaved KD...stove anyday!

To be facetious, it wasn't Kraft anything. It was Annie's (http://www.annies.com) in the Purple box. MY FAVORITE!!! I don't feel that bad, it's quite funny actually. Except I found out I totally broke my microwave and I have to buy a new one now. So basically all the time I spent scrubbing it yesterday... total waste.

Aww that sucks.

I've never heard of that brand. US grocery stores carry completely different stuff than Canadian ones (besides name brand). Especially here, the brands are so weird and obscure.

Annie's is kind of a lesser known brand in the US anyway, so I can see how Canadians wouldn't recognize it either :) But if you ever find it, it's super.

Haha, I'll try to remember it. :P

Off-brands are so weird.

WOW! You can order it by the case! I never knew that before. Haha. Anyway it's the "Shells and White Cheddar" one.

saw this on question club and just wanted to suggest that a scrubby sponge and some cif cleaner will clean out your micro no trouble.

also this is why pasta is cooked in boiling water in a big pan and cheese sauce made with real cheese in a smaller pan.

First part: Thanks... I am not sure what "cif" is but I did clean out the microwave with this awesome stuff called Greased Lightning. Unfortunately, it was all for naught as the incident ended up murdering my microwave.

Second: Then why do Mac N Cheese boxes come with microwave instructions? I've been cooking this in the microwave since I was 12 years old and I simply was absent minded on this occasion. I did, however, cook my other box of the stuff on the stove due to the untimely and tragic death of my microwave. It was good ;)
