Free stuff rules!

Someone put a couch outside in my alley a week ago and nobody ever took it. Until today!

(This would be the part where I place an LJ cut that you click and see lots of cool pictures, but I didn't take any pictures, so deal with it.)

So now I have a pretty nice loveseat in my apartment. It's leather with a few rips but structurally it's in awesome condition... very comfortable. I'm gonna get a slipcover for it because the color is kinda plain compared to my other couch. I should probably wipe it off a bit too since it was outside so there's a little dirt on it and such. I've been moving my 2 couches all day though so that was tiring... I couldn't decide where they were going, so I moved them in different configurations. I still don't think it looks right but it's the only one that works.

Unfortunately I dropped my guitar on my heel during this process... lol so my heel kinda hurts but other than that, I am unscarred!

Hahaha...LJers are one in the same.

This entry makes me wonder if anybody took Jeff's old loveseat that we left in the garbage area the day we moved. It was a nice loveseat (and apparently it was expensive) but it was ripped and it didn't have any firmness left. But it was po' people central where he lived, so it probably got taken.
Not that you're poor. Hell, I'd take a loveseat if it was free and in good enough condition!

There's a buttload of homeless people around here and one guy actually dug through the cushions as I was staring at the couch, contemplating whether I reallllly wanted it. I was like I hope this guy doesn't take it, but he really just wanted food or money or something and there was apparently none in the couch. Oh well. I'm surprised nobody tried to sleep on it (and I know this because the person who put it out took the cushions out to do it, and they were piled on top of the seat part instead of putting them back in... and they never moved for the whole time).

At my first apartment in the ghetto (I'm not exag. it was awful), my friend put out a paper shredder next to the dumpster and literally less than 10 min later it was gone, same with a broken printer. I left a bunch of stuff when I left my 2nd apartment. When I was moving in there some guy gave me his expensive new bed cuz he didn't wanna have to move it. You get some great stuff off people just not being able to move everything.

Yeah it rocks! Some day I will have an apartment with a living room that's big enough for the couch and the loveseat... lol.
