What a horrible road to drive on! And I have always known this, but today was pretty major! I was driving to an interview for an agency called AppleOne¹ and I COULD NOT FIND THE STUPID PLACE. I knew I was near it because of the address numbers I was near, but they have no clear signage indicating where in God's asphalt-covered earth they are located. I pulled into this one driveway thinking it would lead me to a building (which ALSO turned out not to be the right place), and it was definitely a Cadillac dealership. I ended up driving through a rather confined parking lot full of Shiny New 2006 Cadillacs, praying I would not hit them because I only have about $30 worth of spending money in my account right now. So anyway as I was pulling out of the dealership, I was intently staring to my left at the infinite onslaught of traffic coming from that direction. I heard a noise that to my dumb blonde ears sounded like an old rattly truck flying down the road. I don't know what made me look directly in front of me, but what I saw was pretty scary: THERE WAS A FREAKING CAR FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN IN THE MEDIAN AND A COUPLE OF OTHER CARS WERE THERE AND PEOPLE WERE RUNNING TO IT FROM ALL DIRECTIONS. Rattly old truck WHAT? Um not quite. I am just thankful to God that a)I was not involved, and b)I didn't actually SEE the accident... that would have been extremely traumatic, since I know it happened while I had pretty much the best spectator view of anyone yet I was looking to my left. THAT is scary. I hope that everyone involved is ok! I did see them wheeling someone into an ambulance (this was after I'd turned around a few times STILL trying to find the dadgum AppleOne place) and the person on the stretcher was moving their arms and talking and stuff, so I know that he's in decent shape at least.


¹If you ever apply at AppleOne, they're in Cypress Point shopping center under the sign that says EMPLOYMENT.

Gee, good thing AppleOne has such obvious signage that would totally indicate where they are. (NOT!) I hope you weren't near any scary car accidents that day!

it's getting so over-crowded in that area, it's such a pain to drive anywhere. Did the interview go well at least?

I think so... I did well on their tests and stuff.
