bellapalmeraok you've been waiting for it (or not)... my entry about xmas conference!!!
sunday-i flew in, steve picked me and angela up and then we got to the place. while we were waiting for angela, steve told me that erin wanted me to room with her so i gave her my info so i could pay and ta-dah i had roommates. then i got there and registered and found out that renee (one of the staff ladies from project) is pregnant! omg i absolutely love when people are pregnant because i just love babies and i love seeing big fat pregnant bellies for some reason... ok i'm a dork. so then i met up with a lot of people from project and there was much screaming and hugging and then we went to mcdonalds where the line was about 42 miles long. i think a couple people ended up going next door to hooters (tsk, tsk) so then we ate and then went back for the meeting and i don't really remember the rest of the evening, i just stayed up and talked to people. oh yeah and avoided this annoying kid named brandon by lying to people that i was going to bed but then i went back downstairs lol.
monday-meeting, then there were some seminars but i only went to 1 of them cause i needed to take a nap and then i needed to read purpose driven life. (that is a book with 40 chapters and you read one chapter every day.) so i don't remember what i did for lunch, i think i just had a personal pizza or something. then i went to a seminar and a lot of people were late and kris tried to steal candace's chair but he gave it back. then there was dinner and i think that is when we went to the underground mall, but nobody could decide on a place to eat. so a bunch of people went to this irish pub type place that smelled like cigarettes and had nasty food, and me and amanda went to johnny rockets. (well i was gonna eat at the irish place but a)brandon decided to sit next to me and i'd had it up to here [picture me holding my hand up past my head] with him, and b)i didn't want amanda to be by herself.) so me and amanda had a jolly ol' time at johnny rockets and we made everyone dance. then me, amanda, and kelsey walked back and amanda said hi to EVERYONE i was like dude you're going to get us raped or something. oh well. obviously we came back alive. then there was another meeting and after that i stayed up and played catch phrase with a bunch of people i didn't know, and then i played mafia with a bunch of people i did know.
tuesday-meeting (duh), then lunch at the mall where me, erin, and stephanie TRIED to play egyptian rat screw but ran out of time and i was really loud haha. then we went to do our outreach. this year we went to this neighborhood to play with the kids. we had little "good news" kids booklets to tell them about Jesus. it was a lot of fun, i liked it better than last year because we didn't have to lug boxes of love all over the place and plus you didn't have to go knock on people's doors if you didn't want to, and i love kids. kids are the best. so we played with the kids and i took a lot of pictures and it was good times. then nathan and randy got out their guitars at the end and we all sang songs. well we sang songs anyway but at the end there was some guitarness to go with it lol. then some of us went to this mexican restaurant for dinner (oh i'm sorry it was MEXICANA not mexican) and beth got the biggest burrito i have ever seen in my life, and i got these way yummy nachos and i don't know what everyone else got lol. then there was guess what another meeting, and after that there was the junior senior dessert which was to try to make people go on staff lol. i left after justin spoke cause he was on the panel of people who were trying to make us go on staff. well then i went up and down the elevator and it felt like the tower of terror or something it was good times. well i wanted to go down to the 2nd floor but it wouldn't let me. then it went to the 17th floor, stopped, didn't open, then went back up to the 28th floor and these kids got in. one of them knows jeremy, remember that. so we go up to the top floor again, they tape some stuff, then we go back down. the kid who knows jeremy (his name is chris) got off somewhere. well we had been talking about how a bunch of people were stuck in an elevator. the one that was stuck was the one next to us and when we got to the lobby we saw all the stuck people and i'm looking at them and suddenly i am face to face with jeremy! i was like AAAAHHH! (really, i did scream) and waved at him. it was funny. so yeah they got unstuck and i wanted to tell jeremy all about the elevator story but he had to go. so i saw chris and he didn't even know that jeremy was stuck in the elevator!!! lol. so then i went up to this room where they were doing praise + worship and jeremy was playing his geetar so i guess that is where he had to run off to. i tried to play favorite song #1 (the "never underestimate my jesus" song) and failed but then when everyone left jeremy played favorite song #2 (martyrs + thieves) and i sang it and i really don't think anyone's heard me sing like that before i mean i sing like that in my car when nobody is with me so i mean wowness. then i went and played some more catch phrase.
wednesday-obviously there was a meeting which i was ALMOST on time to but the dumb guy made me go back and get my name tag so i missed the outreach video, how sad. well then we had womens time which i did not go to one of the seminars cause i was in a bad mood (which brandon made worse by existing lol) and then some of us went to the mall for lunch. DAIRY QUEEN DIDN'T MESS UP MY ORDER THIS YEAR!!! in fact there was nobody there and the guy who took my order and stuff was so nice, he said they are under new management (that explains a lot... hehe just kidding) and i enjoyed my double bacon cheeseburger with no ketchup mustard and pickles!!! mwahahaha. then i went to the other seminar which was cool. ok the main meeting from the morning and then the other seminar i went to were about this couple who went through a divorce cause the man had sexual addictions which led to him having an affair and he also was addicted to pornography. but it showed how in spite of all the hurt he put her through she was able to forgive his mistakes and they are still friends and stuff. she's remarried now, if you were wondering. but i thought it was really cool and like it made me cry and stuff but i think everything made me cry this week, i was in a crappy mood and i don't even know why. anyway so then all the project people went to this place called max lager's for dinner and i had crappy food. oh well it was still fun! then there was a meeting and some campus time and then the new years party thing!
new years eve/day-the crappy food from the restaurant just did NOT fill me up so i went and got a personal pizza and some ice cream. then i sat with katie and tanna (spelling?) who are catherine's roommates. if you didn't know, catherine is a girl from project who has had mono since october. her doctor wouldn't let her come to conference and he won't let her go back to school in the spring either :( :( :( so yeah we talked about catherine, and dan d., and germs. we're cool like that. oh this guy named hoss (another spell check) sat with us too and we talked about birthdays. so that was cool. then i went up to the concert thing which i didn't like cause shane and shane were playing the same slow music they'd played all freakin week. it's new years eve pump us up come on now. so yeah they gave us confetti poppers and when it was happy new year we all popped them and there was confetti everywhere! so then there was the dance party which i would have enjoyed if i had any energy whatsoever. yeah i guess getting 5 hours of sleep a night doesn't do much good for the energy levels. so ok you're not gonna believe this... i went to BED! traci doesn't go to bed on new years. so then in the morning i got up and was trying to figure out how this whole lunch at the elmore's thing was gonna work... yah it didn't. so i was freaking out about a ride to the airport but i eventually got one from steve. yay. then i said goodbye to people (jeremy hugged me twice lol cause i had already said bye to him but then we talked some more after that) so then i went to hard rock cafe with steve, angela, beth, quinton, and amanda. it was fun. i bought a shirt, left it there, and made steve go back and get it so i will get it from him in a couple weeks lol. so that's it.
other side notes: jeremy got A pair of sunglasses back but they were not his! (ooh i have to email jessica about that) and kerri had her baby! she was gonna have a C section on the 29th but then her water broke so he was born on the 28th, his name is colton price schneider and he weighed 9lbs 8oz! (i think) dang that is a huge baby! but kerri looked about 11 months pregnant so what do you expect lol. i actually thought he would be bigger.
