let's go bowling!
Dec. 24th, 2004 01:03 ami started my job today. it was sa-weet. i like it so far. my boss cheryl is really cool, and i met like her whole family because they are all helping her out with the store since she is just getting it started. her dad was my music teacher in 8th grade lol. i also picked up the cash register really quickly, she was like "do you want to train everyone else" lol. it was funny. it goes by really fast though, we get to listen to 98Q all day (for those of you non-danburyish people, 98Q is your basic top 40 radio station... like tampa's mix 100.7 type of deal) and we get stools to sit on lol. so far she is really my only co-worker, but the store doesnt need a lot of employees... its not that big and theres only 2 registers. so yay, its fun times. basically i get paid $8 an hour to sit on my tail and hit a few buttons. haha.
pete had his "caroling" party tonight. but it was raining and windy so we all just stayed inside. it was a lot of fun. i'll have to post pix when i get the chance, i can't do it from this computer and my mom is sleeping so i'll do it tomorrow after work. some memorable moments: "do you want the southern dip or the jim dip? because the SOUTHERN dip is very COMFORTing... and the JIM dip is very... BEAMlike", the guys playing "anna pong", and "FOO!" dude amanda laughed at that for like half an hour. it was great. we were going to go bowling but then everyone was tired. not to mention the bowling alley was like 45 minutes away. oh well. oh and erin (pete's sister) was there and she brought her baby daughter! she is sooo cute. you'll see her in the pix tomorrow. yay.
so yeah i need to wrap christmas presents... but i'm reeeeallly tired and i have to get up at 9 tomorrow... ehhh.
by the way, ok this is freaky, but i have 2 friends who each had a relative die today. :( i won't say who on here, but say a prayer for them. God will know who you're talking about. *hugs* to you both.
oh yeah i remember what i wanted to share with y'all... UT's grades were released today, and my gpa for the semester was... um... less than 1. it takes a very special type of person to accomplish that task. *facepalm*
