As close to a real entry as possible...
Oct. 30th, 2005 08:53 pmSorry my entries have been lacking in substance lately... kinda hard to write good stuff when my LIFE is lacking in substance. Let's see what's been going on since I got back from Florida (the last time I wrote a REAL entry):
~I am now working on Emmaus 59. Sadly, this will probably be my last weekend... since, ya know, I'm moving 1200 miles away...
~My hours got cut at both of my jobs. The dollar store because Cheryl's other job didn't need her on Wednesdays anymore; and thus, she doesn't need me on Wednesdays. The ice cream store because it's cold and nobody wants ice cream so they don't need as many people to do as much work. (Yet the other night when it was 30 degrees, everyone and their brother wanted ice cream. WTF?)
~I've been talking to Brian a lot, since he finally got his stupid internet hooked up, so it's good to finally be able to talk to him every day again.
~My dad painted the downstairs bathroom (pink haha) and put up a border (which Chessie also has in her bathroom) 6 years after he started remodeling in there to begin with. Maybe by 2011 it will be completely done...
~I bought a couple of books but haven't started reading them yet.
~My dad won this leaf blower off Ebay and we went to Rhode Island to get it. I know that in itself sounds boring, but it was good to get out of D-Block for the day. Also, we went to Newport Creamery for lunch. AWESOME. I think they are my favorite restaurant, except they're only in Rhode Island (and a couple in MA).
~I actually went to the Halloween party @ the Enns' house... I dressed as a ghetto Cold Stone employee... because I came from work and figured I'd look funny enough in my uniform. I wore it over a tie-dyed T shirt and had my hat on sideways. I tried rolling up a pant leg but that didn't work. Yes, there is a picture, I'll put it up eventually.
Hmm, I can't really think of anything else. One thing I want to do before it gets too cold/too far into autumn is take some good foliage shots. Because here in CT, the leaves do this crazy thing called changing colors. Haven't seen it in 4 years and all. But yeah, that's what's going on in Traci-land.
